I hope this sheep knows what it is doing, stripping the foliage from the low branches. Not everything they fancy is actually good for them and some things can be downright poisonous. I'm no expert on the subject but unfortunately, neither are the sheep. I suppose he should be ok as they've lived and grazed here for a long time.

Lovely photos of the sheep. You so often only think of them grazing on grass, this is very interesting behavior but food's food wherever you can get it I suppose.

ReplyDeleteDumber'n a load of bricks. We raised sheep for a couple of years. The last straw was when the Ewe Queen led most of them to their deaths snacking on berries from a bush growing on the other side of the property line fence.
ReplyDeleteGreat captures though! So many moms die giving birth we were lucky to have them in the house trying to keep the kids alive.
