Cheeky Chancers

Glad to see our squirrels have returned. We used to spend so much time trying to do the impossible. Water into wine? Quite tricky. Lead into gold? Might take some time. Stop squirrels eating from the bird-feeders without harming them? Sorry I don't do miracles. Then when they did go missing a couple of years ago we really couldn't wait to get the cheeky chancers back.
Debbie put some hazelnuts out on the front lawn. It didn't take long before they got claimed.

  1. You are so right. I struggle so much with the squirrels eating the bird food - as much as it frustrates me - I miss their silly little antics as they try to climb up the poles - and how the red squirrel (Little bugger) chases the grey's out of its territory.

We had reds in the attic for about a year - when we were finally able to rid ourselves of them - in the house! Thankfully they only made a bad mess up there storing their nuts - they didn't eat thru anything important - but even so - I am glad they are gone!

    Neat captures!

  2. Excellent shots!
The squirrels in my yard do what they can to get up on the birdfeeder. I've learned to accept and enjoy their little antics.

  6. They're so cute! Yes, I know, they eat the bird food and a lot of people don't like them but I find them entertaining and rather adorable :-)

  8. Hi Michael! I share your sentiments about the squirrels. Makes me furious when they eat the birdseed but I have to laugh at their antics...very clever rascals, that's for sure! I love the shot of the squirrel with the hazelnut in it's mouth.
